Position Description

The role is responsible for conducting audit engagements across Aradel Holdings Plc in accordance with the approved audit plan, program, and methodologies to ensure delivery of value to stakeholders and maximisation of resources. Support in assuring the adequacy of internal controls and review of functional operations to ensure adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Participate in the execution of the approved audit plan in accordance with the required audit methodologies under the supervision of the team lead.
  • Perform daily first-level control review of all payment proposals. Submit findings/noted gaps to the Head, Internal Audit for final review and subsequent recommendation for payment.
  • Gather data and necessary information in compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines. Key regulators include, but are not limited to NURPC, NMDPRA, FIRS, LIRS, NEITI, NCDMB etc.
  • Participate in developing audit programs, complete audit workpapers and document test results that clearly support all conclusions made.
  • Submission of timely and objective reports on all assigned audit engagements during the year.
  • Follow-up and provide timely/comprehensive feedback to team members on implementation of assigned engagements.
  • Provide input to the development of the annual audit plan using parameters such as global key areas of concern for internal audit, prior internal audit coverage and results, actual and emerging risk for the company.
  • Perform monthly review of assigned departmental risk register.
  • Provide inputs on assigned audits to the Team lead for the preparation of quarterly board presentations and reports.
  • Document audit findings and proffer standard recommendations to close out noted gaps.
  • Carry out any other delegated assignment, project, review, audit, or investigation that does not form part of the annual audit plan.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, sciences or equivalent.
  • Must be a chartered account such as (ACA, ACCA).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Diligent audit software is an added advantage.
